Focus on Ethics in the Healing Professions – For Professionals

Professional Ethics Course Group

Ethical decision making is not a set of rules to be followed blindly or a check-list of things to do ‘right’; it is an internal decision-making process, coupled with a set of external tasks,  that both require practice. It is a set of skills that can be diminished when they aren’t being used on a regular basis. That can impact both the therapeutic practice as well as the practitioner’s ability TO practice. Ethical issues are one of the major causes of client inquiries and complaints to many associations.

This monthly Professional Development series will focus specifically on ethical issues in professional practice through exploration of topics from various Canadian Standards of Practice and generally accepted ethical guidelines.

This series is a wonderful way to explore this topic for the beginning professional, as well as an in-depth refresher for the upon deeper issues in ethical decision making.

All the time spent in these sessions may be recorded as professional development. Please confirm eligibility with your association before registration.
